The ChemoApp Framework
ChemoApp is a prototype medical advisory tool for the simulation and optimization of personalized chemotherapy treatments in leukemia. We have developed advanced pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic models which, coupled with appropriate models of the cell cycle (target of chemotherapeutic drugs), will serve as a basis to build ChemoApp. Its main advantages include: - Provision to the physician with advice during the treatment design as well as investigating the progress of the disease.
- Ability of the patients to follow their treatment step by step.
- Improvement in the nationalized healthcare system and the private sector by the reduced cost stemming from the more accurate calculated drug doses, the limitation of hospital stays, reduction of hospital resources and long-term health effects of treatment.
- Personalization of the treatment based on tumor and patient-specific data.
